You know EP, you really hit the nail on the head: enjoying the sound together was/is such a big part of this...as much as we continue to debate the joy of the Forum (ie, what it means to each of us), I think a big part is that it helps fill this void.

I do have a small number of folks that put up with my constant barrage of "listen to this!" emails, but lets face it: by and large, it's my fine friends here that I can really count on sharing this joyous experience with whenever I happen upon some show/song that really gets me going...sure, we do lots of "other" things "together" on this board, but that's a big part of it for me...just sharing the experience in a new way, so many years later.

It really does help fill in for something that used to be such a big part of my life.

It is a nagging question -- how could something so positive and seemed so right have gone so wrong?

Maybe when my turn comes I will have guessed.

Still, the core seems good and the attitude benevolent. I have no regrets about taking Hunter's lyrics to heart especially, and the songs and music were often delivered beautifully and warmly.
